Our location

Our inviting retreat house is a renovated farmhouse offering a family friendly, spiritual and natural atmosphere. The property includes beautiful lawns, children’s playground, orchard and magnificent old trees.

Just three kilometers separate you from the green and sandy beaches. The light-filled large yoga room overlooks wide open spaces. The lovingly run Ayurveda and Yoga Café is directly below.

Healthy, fresh air from the North Sea and walks across the mudflats make your stay a special experience. There are 94 beds available and outdoor camping.

Arriving by train:

Take the train to Wilhelmshaven; from the train station take bus 121 to Schillig. The ‘Wiarder Altendeich’ stop is about 300 meters from our house. Taking our local bus, saves you money and helps to save the environment. To book the bus: Please select the destination ‘Wiarder Altendeich’.

Sometimes buses to the country side run only if you call them at least 2 hours in advance and sign up. The "call-me-bus" can be reached at: 04463 1046.

Pick up Service:

If you would like to be picked up from the train station, please arrange it at least 2 days in advice. The Meeting point is in front of the "Ludwig" bookstore in the station building. Cost: 16€ per person

Arriving by car:

From the A1 motorway (Hansalinie), exit at the Ahlhorner Dreieck junction; take A29 to exit Schillig-Horumersiel-Hooksiel. From there it’s only a few kilometers on the road to Horumersiel (district Kaisershof).

Tourist tax:

The municipality of Wangerland levies a resort fee on guests. In the winter season (01.11.-31.03.) it is € 0.50 per night and the rest of teh year : (01.04.-31.10.) it is € 1.50 per night.

Our courses are characterized by an organic combination of theory and practice. In our energetically charged and protected atmosphere, away from everyday life, learning takes place on many levels.

The Yoga Vidya schedule integrates yoga, meditation, lectures and kirtan singing. You get the necessary energy to put what you have learned into practice – and the strength to share your knowledge as a teacher.

Acquire knowledge, improve expertise and recharge your energy: thanks to specific training content and the basic spiritual practices of yoga, you will feel recharged. Often you’ll be more refreshed than after an ordinary vacation!

We serve only healthy organic vegetarian and vegan whole foods; our kitchen in Bad Meinberg is Germany's largest certified organic kitchen!
