The mind is not simply a tool, but the medium through which we experience our entire reality—which is why self-knowledge is impossible without understanding the mind.
Know Your Mind shows how we can detach ourselves from unconscious identification with thoughts, emotions, and reactions in order to become inwardly free, clear, and still.
This clarity not only leads to more peace in everyday life, but also opens the way to a deeper spiritual insight: the knowledge of our true self beyond thinking.

In this Vedanta teacher training course, you will deepen and consolidate your knowledge of the Vedanta teachings and acquire the tools to introduce people to these teachings.
For example, through Vedanta talks (shravana), the opportunity to ask questions (manana), delivering talks yourself in small groups with feedback, and techniques of systemic counselling. You will learn the systematic structure and sequence of an 8-week Vedanta course.
The scriptures state that everything is awareness. For many people, this often remains an abstract statement that cannot be translated into everyday life. Traditional Vedanta teachings are a means, practised and handed down for millennia, of recognising your nature as awareness and shaping your life on this basis.
In this training, the teachings essential to understanding Vedanta are unfolded using a systematic approach. Step by step, you will prepare your mental faculties to comprehend the fundamental units: awareness, Ishvara and the person.
Vedanta is suitable for people who wish to understand spiritual experiences through background knowledge, who are prepared to let go of misconceptions and who wish to acquire traditional wisdom.
- Theory and practice of designing a Vedanta course
- Revision of the fundamentals of Vedanta teaching: including basic concepts, motivations, qualifications, the Self, Ishvara, Karma Yoga, Dharma
- Presentation of lectures from the Vedanta course
- Addressing questions regarding understanding
- Personal teaching experience: Each participant delivers several talks and subsequently receives feedback from the small group. By explaining the topics in the talks and addressing questions, you deepen your own understanding of Vedanta teachings.
- Course design and teaching methodology: How do you give an introduction to Vedanta? Structuring an introductory course lasting several weeks. Setting up a Vedanta group. Vedanta and yoga courses.
- Long-term support for aspirants of the Vedanta teachings
The Vedanta course and the Vedanta course leader training programme are based on the book *Understanding Reality* by James Swartz.
- already have a basic knowledge of traditional Vedanta teachings
Typical exponents of traditional Vedanta include Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Dayananda, as well as disciples in this tradition such as James Swartz, Chandra Cohen and Vedamurti Schönert. Knowledge of Neo-Advaita Vedanta is not sufficient.
- engage with the Vedanta teachings of your own accord, in a concrete and personally relevant way

More mindfulness - less stress. Less stress - a more fulfilling everyday (working) life. Mindfulness and meditation are important components of a happy life.
With his extensive spiritual and psychotherapeutic knowledge E. Shanmug shows you in his lively, brilliant lectures the effect of mindfulness on recognizing, so that you can change obsolete patterns. You get a deep understanding of mindfulness and meditation in theory and practice.
Mindfulness is the focus of consciousness on the present moment. Mindfulness enhances the confrontation with the present and leads to a better understanding of how thoughts and feelings affect our health and quality of life.
Mindfulness can be cultivated through the practice of meditation. Mindful meditation is formalized in programs such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) as well as other programs.
Mindfulness is an inherent human ability that has been experienced in meditation for millennia. What's new is the scientific interest in mindfulness and meditation in medicine, psychology, social work and economics.
You don’t meditate to “make a killing.” You do it so work doesn’t kill you. When I collapsed in April 2007, I was—by our society’s definition—very successful, but by any sane definition of success, I was not,” also says Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post .
“As long as our culture defines success as money and power, we’re stuck on a treadmill of stress, sleep deprivation, and burnout.”
The statistics show that we do not know how to relax properly. And although meditation helps a lot, 42% of people listen to their mobile phone while on vacation. We take less vacation than we deserve. At the same time, according to a Gallup survey, 70% admit being overwhelmed at the workplace or having taken off the job. It's the hamster wheel of today: never checking out at the job, always just checking in.
Mindfulness can be a tool and meditation can be a way of teaching people to cope with their everyday routine, causing the problems that originally made them seek refuge in meditation. Real mindfulness needs to be connected with others, with the community and the wider environment. Meditation is not there to be successful. Meditation helps you to step out.
Every time we break our habits through mindfulness and meditation - whether we're checking our smartphone during a conversation, defensively responding to a colleague's comment, or something else-we weaken our conditioning.
Through mindfulness and meditation we create new furrows, new nerve connections in the brain. In the future, we will less often fall into the old trap of settling for inefficient survival strategies that are not efficient. Mindfulness gradually improves not only our own work habits, but also our work environment.
1. Mindfulness improves your health.
2. Increases the immune function.
3. Meditation reduces pain, reduces inflammation at the cellular level.
4. Meditation increases your happiness.
5. Increases positive emotions.
6. Mindfulness reduces depression.

An Indian monk, well-versed in Sanskrit and Vedanta, teaches through the traditional art of storytelling, in which he masterfully conveys hidden truths. He shares his knowledge at the Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham in India, at Yoga Vidya Germany, and at spiritual centres in France, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Japan, Thailand and Russia.
At the age of 18, having already studied under eminent masters, he entered the Narayana Ashrama Tapovanam in Thrissur, where he studied Vedanta under the guidance of Swami Bhoomananda Thirtha.
He then travelled to the Himalayas and undertook rigorous spiritual practices under the guidance of several masters living there. During this time, his encounter with Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati, the renowned traditional teacher of Vedanta, was the most significant event in his life.
After studying the Prasthanatraya – that is, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita and the Brahmasutras with the commentary by Adi Sankaracharya – Swamiji mastered the scriptures and the traditional teaching method of Swami Dayananda Saraswati, who initiated him into the traditional Sanyasa order in 2003.
In 2006, Swami Dayananda Saraswati handed over the leadership of the Janaka Janani Kripa Gurukulam to Swami Tattvarupananda. This is an institution where children from socially disadvantaged or underprivileged families receive accommodation, food and clothing, as well as a traditional and academic education.

Tattwa Shuddhi Sadhana is a tantric system designed to purify your entire being on all levels; it prepares your mind and body for the development of a richer inner experience. It includes nyasa (consecration of the body), prana prathishta (installing life into a mandala), panchopara (five ingredients offered in worship) and mantra repetition.
This is a subtle sadhana that provides necessary links to higher practice and leads to the regeneration of tissues and cells. The chakras and nadis are cleared of blockages; tensions and preconceived notions drop away because of the balanced prana and resulting harmony
The course is taught by Dr. Nalini Sahay, a direct disciple of Swami Satyananda Saraswati. The source of the sadhana is the Srimad Devi Bhagvatam, translated and restructured by Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
